This building was built in 1931. It was designed by the American firm, Trowbridge & Livingston.
In 1990, Mitsui Bank absorbed Taiyo Kobe Bank and became Taiyo Kobe Mitsui Bank. The branch was renamed the Sakaisuji Senba Branch.
The branch was closed in 2000 in anticipation of Mitsui Bank's absorption by Sumitomo Bank in 2001. Then the building was demolished in 2004.
