Izumo-Hinomisaki Lighthouse was built in 1903. It is the tallest lighthouse in Jpaan, at 43.65 meters.
The lighthouse has a double structure, with the outer wall made of stone and the inner wall made of bricks. It was designed by Ayahiko Ishibashi.
The lighthouse was registered as a Tangible Cultural Property in 2013.
And in 2022, the Council for Cultural Affairs reported that it should be registered as an Important Cultural Property.
