Mihonoseki Lighthouse (Matsue City)

Mihonoseki Lighthouse was built in 1898.
When it was first completed, it was called Jizosaki Lighthouse, but since there were other places called Jizosaki, the name was changed to Mihonoseki Lighthouse in 1935.
In 2007, the lighthouse was registered as a Tangible Cultural Property.
And in 2022, the Council for Cultural Affairs reported that it should be registered as an Important Cultural Property.
