This was the Tsuruga City Hall, completed in 1974. It was built on a different site from
the city office that had been used until then. It was designed by Takeo Sato Design Office.
In 2011, the building underwent a seismic assessment and after studying renovation methods, it was decided to rebuild in 2017.
A new government building was constructed next to the old one and completed in 2021, while this building was demolished in 2022.
