Former the head office of Chuetsu Bank (Tonami City)
This building was built in 1909. The Chuetsu Bank was integrated into the Hokuriku Bank in 1943, and the building became a branch of the Hokuriku Bank.
In 1978, it was decided to be demolished due to a land readjustment project, but there were requests for preservation, and it was relocated and preserved.
It opened in 1983 as a museum of local history and folk culture.
