Former the head office of Terasho Bank (Koka City)

This bank building was constructed in 1925 as the head office of Terasho Bank. The design was handled by the Vories Architectural Office.
In 1928, Terashō Bank was absorbed by Hachiman Bank. Then, in 1933, Hyakusanjusan Bank and Hachiman Bank merged to form Shiga Bank. This building became known as the Shiga Bank Terasho Branch.
In 1950, it was renamed the Shiga Bank Konan Branch and served as a bank branch until it relocated to a new building in 2007.
After the bank relocated, the building stood vacant. However, in 2025, the interior was renovated, and it appears to have begun operating as a rental venue.
The building was registered as a National Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 2015.
