Former Minakuchi Library (Koka City)
The first Minakuchi Library opened in 1909.
This building was newly constructed in 1928. Its construction costs were covered by a donation from local businessman Inoue Kozaburo.
This building remained in use until the library relocated to a new facility in 1970. After the library moved, it served as a Textbook Center until 2003.
It was registered as a National Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 2001.
Restoration and repair work was carried out in 2004, and the preservation and utilization organization “Wakagi no Kai” was formed. Currently, the organization manages the building, including renting it out for events.
