Former Hiroshima Branch, Bank of Japan (Hiroshima City)
This building was built in 1936.
When the atomic bomb was dropped in 1945, it was located 380 meters from the hypocenter and the building was damaged.
The Bank of Japan relocated in 1992, and the building has been rented to Hiroshima City since 2000.
The city began opening it to the public constantly in 2003.
Furthermore, from 2022 to 2023, the city carried out restoration work to return it to its appearance around 1950. It was reopened to the public in September 2023.
