Former Shimonoseki British Consulate (Shimonoseki City)

This building was built in 1906. In 1941, the consulate was closed due to the war.
Shimonoseki City purchased the building in 1954 and used it as a police station (1958~) and archaeological museum (1970~). After that, it is used as a coffee shop and a gallery.
Preservation and repair work was carried out from 2008 to 2014.
