Former Tashiro's Guest House (Arita Town)

This building was built by Sukesaku Tashiro who is the trade merchants of porcelain. It was used as the guest house for foreign buyers.
Around 1920, as the road widening work, the roof was cut off and the pillars on the balcony were removed.
The building was donated to Saga City in 2013. The city decided to return it to its original appearance and carried out renovation work. It has been open to the public since 2017. And in 2018, it was designated as a national important cultural property.
