Former Miyazaki Agricultural and Industrial Bank (Miyazaki City)

This building was built about 1926 as the Miyazaki Agricultural and Industrial Bank. The bank was merged into the Nippon Kangyo Bank in 1934. Later, in 1971, it became the Miyazaki branch of the Dai-ichi Kangyo Bank.
When the bank moved in 1986, the building was purchased by Miyazaki Prefecture, and was called as "Pref. Government Building No.5". It had used as the Miyazaki Prefectural Archives Center since 2002.
In 2016, the Prefectural Archives Center was relocated to another building, then this building was moved by towing (without disassembly) in 2017-18. A disaster prevention center was built on the site.
The building was registered as a national tangible cultural property in 2021.
