Church of Our Lady of the Cape [Igreja da Senhora do Cabo]  (Luanda)



A church located on a peninsula surrounding Luanda Bay (also called Luanda Island, although it is a peninsula). It was founded in 1575 by Portuguese merchants lived here. This is said to be the oldest church in Luanda City.
The current building was rebuilt in 1669. The name of the church was also changed to its current name when it was rebuilt.
It was registered as a historical and cultural heritage site in Angola in 2021.
