Church of Achao [Churches of Chiloé] (Quinchao Island)
The Church of Achao (Santa María de Loreto de Achao) is a Catholic church on Kin Chao Island next to the island of Chiloe, and is included in the World Heritage “Chiloe Churches”.
The construction began around 1730 or 40 and was completed in 1770. In the current church, the nave is from the 18th century, but the tower was built in the early 20th century.
