This building was built in 1929 as Sawara Branch of Chiba Godo Bank. Chiba Godo Bank merged with other banks in 1943 to become Chiba Bank.
Then the building was used by Dai-ichi Life since 1974, but the company went bankrupt in 2000.
Currently it was used as a soba restaurant.
