This building was built in 1873 at Nabeshima island. It was used as a lodging house for staff until around 1955. Then it was used as a communication facility of the Japan Coast Guard.
In 1998, it was dismantled and reconstructed to the Shikoku-mura Museum of Takamatsu City.
