Former Mitsubishi Limited Partnership, Karatsu Branch (Karatsu City)
This building was built in 1908. It became the Karatsu branch of Mitsubishi Corporation in 1918, and became the Karatsu branch office of Mitsubishi Mining Co., Ltd. from 1924.
Mitsubishi withdrew in 1934, and since then it had been used as the Karatsu Maritime School Building then the Karatsu Maritime Security Department Government Building.
The building was donated to Karatsu City by Mitsubishi Corporation in 1978 and resotred. It opened as the Karatsu Folklore Museum in 1979. (However, it is currently closed)
