Shitsu Catholic Church (Nagasaki City)

This church was built in 1882 to the design of Father de Rotz (Marc Marie de Rotz). And it was partially remodeled in 1891, with the entrance area and bell tower added in 1909, giving it its current appearance.
In 1972, it was designated as a tangible cultural property of Nagasaki Prefecture, and in 2011, was designated as an important cultural property of Japan.
The church building is included in the "Shitsu Village in Sotome", a component of the "Hidden Christian Sites in the Nagasaki Region" which was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2018.

How to glue the part
01This part is made using separate pieces of Kent paper. Fix the paper to the back of the pattern with masking tape, make a folding line, and cut it out.
02Since it is difficult to fold the main body if the parts are applied first, fold the body once as well.

01Paste the part from the bottom. Be careful where you apply the glue.
02Align the yellow line on the body with the red line on the another part. The left and right sides should also be properly aligned so that the part can be folded properly.

01Because the gluing position is on the back side, it is a bit hard to paste, so glue the left and right sides first. The main body should be also flattened and aligned.
02Paste the remaining glue flaps and the guleing of the part is complete. Fold the main body again.
