Ooyodogawa II Hydroelectric Power Station (Miyazaki City)
Ooyodogawa Hydroelectric Company was established in 1920 as a subsidiary of DENKI KAGAKU KOGYO (now Denka Company Limited).
This company took over the construction of the Ooyodogawa No. 1 Power Station, which had already been started by DENKI KAGAKU KOGYO, and was completed in 1925.
This pop-up card shows the Oyodogawa No.2 Power Station, which the company subsequently constructed.
Construction of the No.2 power station began in 1927 and was completed in 1931.
In 1941, it became owned by the national policy company Nippon Hassoden K.K. under the direction of the government.
After the World War II, it became the property of Kyushu Electric Power Company in 1951. DENKI KAGAKU KOGYO filed a lawsuit claiming that it owned the plant, but it was not admitted.
