Saviour-Transfigulation Cathedral (Chernihiv, Chernihiv Oblast)

This church was built in the early years of the Duchy of Cernihiv, in the 11th century. It is said to have been completed in 1036, although there are several theories.
The church was destroyed during the Mongol invasion in 1239 and restored in the 17th century. After that, it was rebuilt in the 18th century due to a fire, and it seems that it has become the present appearance by being expanded in the 19th century.
In 1937, during the Soviet era, the church was closed and was changed into a museum. Since the 1980s, it has been used as a church again.
This area is now designated as a national architectural and historical reserve.
In February 2022, Russian troops temporarily invaded Chernihiv. So the building may have been damaged, but I do not know at this time.
