Windhoek Railway Station (Windhoek)

Germany began building the railway in the late 19th and early 20th century, when it colonized Namibia. The first line was apparently drawn to Windhoek in 1902.
This station building was built by the German State Railways in 1912 and later extended by the South African Railways in 1929.
The elevation of the station building is said to be 1652 metres above sea level.
