How to make : Alcázar de Colón

(Colored version is here)
White version

Paper
* for print, B5 size copy paper
* Kent paper : 1 sheet of A5 size and 1 sheet for separate parts (A6 size is enough)
For cover, A5 size paper. (a little bigger is better)
The color and type of paper are your choice. Slightly thicker paper is better for opening and closing.

Tools
* Utility knife * Cutting mat
* Glue : Two types of glue are useful, one for large areas. The other is for gluing parts, such as wood glue.
* press line tool (ex. Eyeleteer)
* Ruler (A short ruler is used for making creases. When trimming the edges at the end, it is good to have a steel ruler)

Print out the pattern, then make the part (1) from A5 Kent paper. Cut out the parts at the bottom (2) from another Kent paper.
Please see here for the specific procedure for the part (1).

A5 kent once creased.

Insert and glue the smallest part.

Apply glue to the colored areas of the photo and glue the small parts under the A5 size Kent.

Then, apply glue to the colored areas...

Glue the parts together while keeping the A5 size Kent paper flat.

Refold the card.

Glue colored paper for the cover on the reverse side, trim the edges of the paper, and you are done.

Print the pattern and cut out the parts. Fold the parts with a crease line. If you have difficulty finding the fold line, check with the white version of the pattern. The fold lines are the same, although the cut lines are different.

Insert and glue the smallest part.

Glue the part to a large piece of paper.

Apply glue to the yellow part and glue it in place while stretching and flattening the folds of the large piece of paper. Then glue the colored cover paper on the reverse side. Finish by trimming the edges of the paper.
