Demolition of former Koshoku City Office (in May)
I came here to see the dismantle work of the former Koshoku City Office after an interval of two months.
The first photo was taken in March.
The left is the main building and the right is the north building.
It was the middle of May.
Not wanting to cause any inconvenience, I visited on a Saturday and Sunday when no construction work was being done, and found that the demolition of the north building had been completed.
The north face of the main building, which had not been visible until now, can be seen from the road. (The following photos were all taken in May.)
Scaffolding has been erected on the east side of the main building. The main building will probably be demolished soon.
I am looking up at the scaffolding from below, but it is too scary for me to climb up there.
Scaffolding had been erected up to the third floor on the south side of the main building.
Same as the article in March, I photographed the west side of the buildings from the road a short distance away.
On the left is the main building, and on the right, covered by black covers, is the south building which was used as a health center. The south building will be used as a fire department building without being demolished.
This is the view from the parking lot on the north side. The north building and annex used to be there, but they are no longer visible.
As the right side is covered with soundproofing sheets, so the conference room that used to be here may still be in the process of being demolished.
I have not seen the work in progress, but according to the schedule, the demolition of the interior of the main building and the asbestos removal work were done from January to April, and the demolition of the main building frame will be done from May to July. After that, the foundation will be demolished.
I think I will come back in July for my next visit to see how things are going.
