This reinforced concrete auditorium was built in 1934 when the buildings of Arifuku Elementary School were extended.
At that time, the school was in Arifuku Village. Then due to the merger of municipalities, it became Kokufu Town Arifuku Elementary School in 1955, and Hamada Municipal Arifuku Elementary School in 1969.
But the elementary school was closed in 2015.
Currently it has been used as a community center.
