Pop-up Cards: Former Akita Prefectural Public Hall

The pop-up card for Akita Prefectural Public Hall has been completed.
In my previous article, I wrote about the year the public hall was completed.
Later, I found the Akita Public Hall in the June 9, 2000 issue of Akita Prefecture’s public relations magazine. Since the date of construction is also given there as 1904, I decided to say that the building was completed in 1904.

In fact, I found an entry in “A Guide to Akita Prefecture" (written by Michi Umehara and Wafu Ando and published by Kichijiro Sasaki), which was published in 1908, which states, “The hall was completed in October of the Meiji 38th year (1905) and the ceremony was held in November of the same year.
The book was published in 1908, just a few years after the public hall was completed. I wonder if the author got the year wrong, and I’m once again unsure which is correct.

…but I decided to give priority to the year adopted by Akita Prefecture.

I have uploaded the photo, but there is actually a little part I would like to correct.

The arrow part has become unstable, so I should have attached the edge to the part right next to it here.

It didn’t bother me so much in the photo. But when I watched the video of the card opening and closing,  it was noticeable that the arrow part was not folded properly.

So I am going to update the main website after I fix the pattern.

It’s hardly noticeable in this photo isn’t it?
