Pop-up card of the former Kanazawa Kaikosha (2)

Yesterday I wrote that I might remake the pattern, but I don’t feel like doing it right now though", but now I have to do it.
This is the former Kanazawa Kaikosha pop-up card (ver. 1.1) I made yesterday.

I thought the dormer window on the front was the next task, but actually I found another problem.

Now, it’s a “mistake-finding”.

What is different about the pop-up card above compared to the actual building?
The height of the roof gives a different impression because the real building was taken from looking up, but there were more differences.

(It would be boring to see a picture of the answer right away, so I have posted other pictures.)

(Star mark on the ventilation openings. Because it was an army building.)

What was different was the size of the windows here.
Some of the windows in this building have one row of window frames and some have two rows. The arrows indicate one row of window frames, but I made the card as two rows.

Normally, one would notice this. But I had not noticed.
Because I had modified the pattern based on the previous card, I was satisfied with the modification of the roof and dormer part and did not notice the window. Assumption is a scary thing.
No wonder I felt uncomfortable with the balance between the window and the wall in the front part while I was making it. Finally, I found the cause.

So, I had to make Ver. 1.2 before posting it on the main website.
(Good thing it was before the main website was updated.)

Since I had to remake the card, I made some changes to other parts of the card, and modified it like this (ver. 1.2).

On the reverse side of the handrail-like pattern in the center of the front (there is no actual handrail), colored paper was pasted. This will make the pattern easier to recognize.

The upper part of the window, which used to be triangular, was also slightly reshaped.
Maybe in 2008 (17 years ago!) I guess I made it a simple triangle to make it easier to cut.

This is a photo taken before I pasted colored paper on the front part.

The dormer window in the center that I was interested in. It looks more like a window than before.

So, this time, it is really finished.
