Modified pop-up card (former Kano Godo Bank head office)
This is another modified version of a card I made in the past.
The Musashigatsuji Branch of Hokkoku Bank in Kanazawa City was built in 1932 as the head office of Kano Godo Bank.
It was designed by Togo Murano.

I made the card in 2008 and posted it on my main website, but decided to revise it as well.
The photo above is the new pop-up card (ver. 1.1).
For reference, the card created in 2008 is shown here.

In this card, the three windows on the front side of the card do not work together with the opening and closing of the card.
I had been concerned about this, but had neglected it.
However, when I saw the actual building, I realized that the card was incorrectly designed (again).
I didn’t take a clear picture, but the windows are recessed from the ground level more than the walls. (The arrows in the photo.)

This shape can be made to move with the card when it is opened and closed, so I immediately modified the old pattern.
Since I had made a mistake at Kanazawa Kaikosha, I reconfirmed the photo of the actual building before making it.
Looking at the building from an angle, there is a wall-like projection from the side wall to the rooftop.
And there seems to be windows in the semicircular part at the back.

I gave up trying to represent the wall-like projection on the card and made it as shown in the next picture, but I think it looks better than the previous one.

This time, I also made the pattern of the window coverings (?) on the left and right sides of the wall.
I gave up on reproducing the eaves of the front door, and instead used the protrusions on the left and right to represent them.
I thought about adding other parts, but decided to leave it as is.

I modified some pop-up cards from the past, but I haven’t updated the main website yet, so I’ll work on that next.
