World Heritage Sites in Morocco (pop-up card)
This is my first site update this year.
In the center of Morocco, there is a city called Marrakech.
It was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1985 as “Medina of Marrakesh".
This time, I chose some of the buildings in the old city to make pop-up cards.
The first card is the Agnaou Gate (Bab Agnaou).
The old city of Marrakech is surrounded by a fortress that stretches 2 km from east to west and 3 km from north to south. There are 19 gates in the citadel, and one of them is the Agnaou Gate, which was built in the 12th century and was the official gate to the royal palace.
This time, the pattern of Agnaou Gate is downloadable.
This is the same Agnaou Gate, but I added a part of the city wall to make it look more like a real scene. (This pattern is not available for download.)
The second card is Koubba Ba’Adiyn. This building was also built in the 12th century, at that time it was a place where people washed themselves before praying in the mosque.

Also, this time I updated the instructions on how to make pop-up cards for the first time in a while.
The change point is in the number of places to fasten with cellophane tape. I used to make them by fixing them in two places, but in cases where there were fine windows lined up, they sometimes shifted slightly as I changed the direction of cutting, so I changed to a method with less displacement.
I have recently stopped using glue sticks, so I have also rewritten the tools to suit my current using.

(2019.09.30) The pattern of the Agnaou Gate is no longer available.
