(6) Toyama City Library Completed in 1913, and the completion ceremony was held on December 7. The mayor said at the ceremony, “The design was commissioned to Dr. Tatsuno, a doctor of engineering…", so this building was designed by Kingo Tatsuno.
In 1934, the library was merged with the prefectural library, and this building became the main building of the prefectural library.

(10) Showa Kaikan Hall (not surveyed yet). Around 1934. Also found depicted near the prefectural office in “Bird’s-eye View of Toyama Prefecture Tourism and Transportation" (published in 1936) drawn by Hatsusaburo Yoshida.
Photo from “History of Industrial Associations in Toyama Prefecture in commemoration of the Imperial reign 2600" (1940, Toyama Prefectural Branch of the Central Association of Industry, ed.)

For now, only the 10 photos I found are listed here.
I am interested in “Showa Kaikan Hall" of which I have not been able to find any information yet.
This time I used only the National Diet Library’s Digital Collections.
I am planning to check again at libraries and other places.

[Postscript] (2022.03.26)

I found out that the Showa Kaikan Hall in (10) was completed in April, 1936. I found an article in the “History of Industrial Associations in Toyama Prefecture in commemoration of the Imperial reign 2600" (edited by the Toyama Prefectural Branch of the Central Association of Industry in 1940), which I wrote about above. The Toyama Branch of the Central Association of Industry also had its secretariat at the Showa Kaikan. It seems to have been built as a general office for various industrial organizations, and it was also a public hall equipped with a large hall and a stage.

Further postscript. Aerial photographs suggest that the Showa Kaikan Hall may have been repaired and used after the war. We would like to continue my investigation.
