Former Koshoku City Office to be Demolished

The former Koshoku City Office in Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture, which I previously wrote about visiting.
The newspaper reported that the Chikuma City Council had passed a bill to enter into a contract for the demolition of the old government building. (Shinano Mainichi Shimbun 2023.10.24)

(The photo was taken in February of this year.)

According to the article, the construction period is scheduled from October of this year (…but October is almost over) to January 2025.
The asbestos will be removed this year, and the building will be demolished after next April.
The site will be used as a staff parking lot for the time being.

I don’t know more than what is in the article, so I’ll post the rest of the photos I took earlier.

This is the second floor of the central part of the main building.

The east room of the main building, which I think was on the fourth floor.

The west side entrance of the city assembly hall. What is the concrete on the left side?

Chairs in the lobby in front of the entrance for the audience, on the east side of the city assembly hall.

The rooftop of the main building.

North side of the main building.

This is the west side of the main building.

The south side of the main building.

The last photo was taken from the south end of the parking lot, a short distance away from the building.

I would like to take photos of the exterior of the building at least, before it has been demolished.
